The dark red line shows the main road from Dili which passes through Atabae on the way to Maliana and also West Timor. The lighter red lines are mere tracks which can be impassable at times in the wet season. The green dots indicate notable peaks in the quite rugged terrain. The blue line shows the path of the Loes River, one of very few permanent streams in East Timor.
